Accountability

God provides for the ministry of St. Peter the Apostle through your tithes and offerings. We honour your gifts with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of St. Peter the Apostle remains beyond reproach.

Our Finance Council

St. Peter the Apostle Parish has a Finance Council which meet every second month. The Finance Council has an advisory and consultative role with the Pastor in ensuring the parish goods are administered in accordance with the norms of both civil and canon law.

The financial matters of the parish include revenue, expenses, investments, bookkeeping, salaries, construction contracts, sales, purchases, personnel matters and the maintenance of the parish property and buildings. The Council oversees the parish books and records, prepares annual income tax returns and financial statements.

The members of the Finance Council are the trustees of the material property of the parish on behalf of all parishioners. It works closely with the Pastor to ensure that the pastoral mission of the parish is effectively achieved.
